QuangAnhcons is a leading turnkey contractor in the M&E field in Vietnam, providing solutions from design, installation to maintenance of MEP systems.

Electrical Systems and Transformer Stations of QuangAnhcons

The QuangAnhcons MEP General Contractor provides and installs transformer stations, medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical cabinets, lighting and power systems. They execute underground cable terminations, underground cable joint boxes for medium-voltage grids, using equipment from reputable manufacturers such as 3M, Raychem, Eaton, Schneider, ABB. QuangAnhcons also develops backup power generator systems to meet backup power needs for industrial and commercial projects.

Electrical systems and transformer stations play a crucial role in transmitting and distributing electricity in Vietnam. These are essential components ensuring consistent and reliable power supply.

The national electricity system consists of three main components:

  1. Power Source: Operated by major power plants such as hydroelectric, coal-fired, solar, and wind power plants. These sources are responsible for generating electricity for the entire system.
  2. Grid: Includes the medium-voltage grid system, transmission lines, and transformer stations. These components ensure the transmission and distribution of electricity from the power plants to consumers nationwide.
  3. Electricity Consumers: These are businesses, industrial zones, and households using electricity for various living and business purposes.

The role of electrical systems and transformer stations goes beyond providing electricity, supporting economic development and enhancing quality of life. The grid is tiered from low to ultra-high voltage to reduce power loss when transmitting long distances.

Transformer stations are essential intermediate elements responsible for modifying voltage levels to not only transmit over long distances but also distribute power safely to usage areas. Transformer stations are also network nodes to ensure stability and control of power flow.

Operationally, on February 21, 2024, the peak capacity at evening peak time was 41,035.8 MW, with daily electricity consumption of 819.5 million kWh. Power sources such as hydroelectric, coal-fired, and wind power make substantial contributions to the system, with coal-fired power having the highest proportion.

In summary, electrical systems and transformer stations form the backbone structure to efficiently and safely transmit and distribute electricity, while also optimizing the operation and distribution of electricity nationwide.

Comprehensive MEP Services for All Projects

The QuangAnhcons MEP General Contractor stands out with its efficient HVAC system services, from design to installation for both residential and industrial sectors. QuangAnhcons executes low-voltage systems such as LAN networks, security cameras, and cable television, providing comprehensive communication solutions. The Company ensures stable and safe operation of MEP systems for industrial and commercial projects.

Comprehensive MEP services are not just about constructing systems but also offer a holistic process from design, electro-mechanical construction, to operation and maintenance. By integrating major technical system groups including HVAC Systems, Electrical Systems, Water Supply and Drainage Systems, and Fire Protection Systems, this service ensures safety and efficiency for all projects.

Technical design is the first crucial step in comprehensive MEP services where energy optimization is carried out to ensure optimal operational performance and adherence to safety standards. During electro-mechanical installation, which accounts for a large proportion of projects at about 45-80% volume, precision and high quality are required.

The installation of HVAC systems ensures air conditioning, creating an ideal living and working environment for various types of projects, from apartments, offices to industrial zones. Fire protection systems with alarm and automatic extinguishing devices, such as sprinklers and fire extinguishers, are tightly installed to ensure timely response in all emergency situations.

The water supply and drainage department is an important part of MEP services, including the design and installation of piping systems, reservoirs, and wastewater treatment equipment, complying with environmental regulations.

The application of modern technology, especially BIM software in construction, not only enhances the accuracy of design but also opens up flexible and more efficient project management capabilities.

Finally, the consultation and technical support of MEP services help investors choose solutions appropriate to the specific characteristics of each project, ensuring sustainability for the project and optimizing operating costs. Thus, comprehensive MEP not only creates safe buildings but also optimizes energy and ensures project safety, meeting international standards.

Application of Solar Power System

The QuangAnhcons MEP General Contractor implements solar power systems through optimal design processes, selection of high-quality equipment, and strict operational supervision. QuangAnhcons provides solar power solutions that not only help reduce electricity costs but also contribute to environmental protection, aiming towards sustainable development for industrial projects.

Solar power systems are being widely applied due to their sustainability and energy-saving potential. Here are the prominent fields using solar power:

  • Operation and Maintenance of Solar Power Plants: Solar power plants apply technologies such as AI, robot panel cleaning, drones, and SCADA to optimize operation. This helps reduce costs and enhance production efficiency in solar power plant operation [1].
  • Applications in Daily Life:
  • Small devices integrated with solar panels: Products like backpacks and phone chargers using solar panels are not only convenient but also environmentally friendly [2].
  • Outdoor lighting systems: LED lights and traffic lights using solar energy are easy to install, reducing wiring and enhancing urban aesthetics [2][3][5].
  • Smart trash bins: Using solar panels to treat wastewater and support plant growth, improving waste management efficiency [3].
  • Agriculture and Aquaculture: Solar power is used in irrigation pump systems and oxygen creation for shrimp farming, replacing diesel generators. This not only reduces fuel costs but also protects the environment [2][3].
  • Application in Planning and Designing Solar Power Systems: Utilizing tools like PV*SOL and PVsyst to simulate and design systems, helping analyze shading, performance, and costs, optimizing for sustainable energy development [4].
  • Clean Water Production: Applying solar power in distillation systems ensures fresh water supply from sea or dirty water, serving living needs in dry regions [5].

In summary, with energy-saving benefits, emission reduction, and improving production efficiency in various sectors, solar power systems have gradually become an indispensable part of a sustainable energy future.

No quick estimate yet. You can still submit a project quotation request.

Quotation scope

Applies to one EVN-supplied substation with oil-immersed transformers at 22/0.4 kV (single-phase: 12.7/0.23 kV), with MV metering VTs/CTs supplied by EVN. The estimate includes the selected equipment, installation, earthing, transformer-to-main-breaker connections, design and connection documentation, and coordination of testing and utility acceptance.

Kiosk, integrated steel-pole and indoor substations include MV switchgear and the entered underground cable route. Other outdoor arrangements use the relevant protection configuration. The final diagram must meet the project connection requirements.

Excludes VAT, cables from the substation switchboard to the MSB/loads, live-line work, harmonic reactors, weak-ground treatment or special piling, land and special fire-protection provisions. Underground routes assume normal construction conditions and exclude road drilling and special reinstatement.

Prices are indicative investment budgets. A formal quotation follows site assessment and agreement on the configuration. Electrical selections are preliminary and require design verification before installation.

Capacity range and application conditions

The catalogue defines the enquiry range of this tool, not universal TCVN capacity limits. Single pole-mounted transformers: 15–100 kVA; three-unit banks: 3×15–3×100 kVA. Platform substations: 100–630 kVA. Steel-pole substations: 100–630 kVA; 750/800 kVA require design verification and local approval. Ground-mounted, kiosk and indoor configurations: 50–10,000 kVA. Not every configuration has a package price or the same structural design.

Reference: EVN Decision 1299/QD-EVN dated 3 November 2017, Volume 1, sections 3.3–3.4. Check the current requirements of the responsible utility before implementation. Kiosks must meet manufacturer ratings and testing requirements (IEC 62271-202); indoor and ground-mounted arrangements must meet project layout, ventilation, structural and fire-protection requirements. For multiple transformers, specify the quantity and capacity of each unit.
