Binh Phuoc attracts 9 more FDI projects

In the first quarter of this year, Binh Phuoc attracted 9 more foreign-invested projects with a registered capital of $30 million.

Previously in 2021, the province attracted 63 FDI projects with a capital of $514 million, up 88.5% in the number of projects and triple the capital compared to 2020. Up to now, there have been 346 FDI projects registered in the province with a total capital of more than $3.579 billion, according to the General Statistics Office.

Binh Phuoc’s leaders stated that with the foundation of ‘4 goods’ including infrastructure, labor, policies, and public services, the province always welcomes and welcomes investors to come and invest.

“The province always stands side by side and accompanies businesses; listens, shares, and resolves difficulties for businesses; creates favorable conditions for businesses to invest in production and business in the homeland of Binh Phuoc,” said Tran Tue Hien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

The province is currently mobilizing all resources to invest in developing modern and synchronized technical infrastructure; building a transportation system connecting regions and provinces; promoting planning and investing in the development of industrial parks, border economic zones. In addition, the locality is also promoting online investment; strengthening administrative procedure reform, publicizing the process of handling work in all agencies and units; strengthening meetings, contacts with associations and businesses to timely resolve difficulties for enterprises.

Thanks to that, from a province with a focus on agricultural products until now, Binh Phuoc has more garment products, electronic components, plywood, mechanical processing…

According to experts, Binh Phuoc is quickly moving from a development reserve position to a driving force for development.

During his visit and working trip to Binh Phuoc province on March 20th, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised the province’s policies to attract investment. The Prime Minister suggested that the province should focus on developing technical infrastructure projects to enhance its attractiveness to more businesses and investors. He also emphasized the importance of having a certain “filter” when attracting projects, particularly those that have strategic significance, prioritize social welfare, and provide good living conditions for workers, social housing, healthcare infrastructure, and cultural activities for laborers. Moreover, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to apply maximum measures to protect the environment.

Binh Phuoc is located in the key economic region in the South, with convenient transportation infrastructure and connectivity to Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces in the Southeast through National Highway 13, 14, and DT741, which have been invested in and completed with a scale of 6 to 8 lanes. The province has 15 industrial parks covering a total area of over 4,686 hectares and 8 industrial clusters covering an area of 380 hectares. In addition, the province has the Hoa Lu International Border Economic Zone, which borders Cambodia and has convenient transportation connections to Laos and Thailand.
