What this service covers
QuangAnhcons supports the electrical infrastructure required for EV charging at factories, fleet depots, commercial premises and parking facilities in Vietnam. The package can include supply assessment, transformer and distribution interfaces, chargers, containment, grounding, load management and commissioning, subject to an agreed charger and operating-system specification.
Discuss your project in English with our team. Our priority delivery area is Southern Vietnam; project location, access and mobilization are confirmed during quotation.
A defined scope from design to handover
Charging demand assessment
Define the number of vehicles, daily energy needs, arrival/departure patterns and required service level. Compare charger counts and power against actual dwell time and vehicle acceptance limits.
Electrical source and distribution
Assess incoming supply, transformer headroom, MSB capacity, feeders, protective devices and metering. Identify whether existing capacity, managed charging or a supply upgrade is appropriate.
Charger and site integration
Coordinate charger foundations, parking geometry, cable reach, bollards, accessibility, drainage, weather protection and equipment access. Confirm responsibility for communications, software and payment services.
Testing and operator handover
Verify electrical protective measures and demonstrate charging, stop functions, alarms, metering and agreed backend communications using the selected charger platform.
Engineering decisions that shape your project
Energy demand is different from charger nameplate power
A vehicle requiring 60 kWh over an eight-hour parking period has an average energy-delivery requirement of 7.5 kW before charging losses and interruptions. It may not require a high-power DC charger. Conversely, a short turnaround window can make DC charging necessary even if daily energy is modest.
Size the AC supply from the charger input
For a DC charger, grid input exceeds delivered DC power because of conversion losses and auxiliaries. In a hypothetical four-charger scheme at 120 kW DC each, 95% conversion efficiency and 10 kW of shared auxiliaries give about 515 kW AC. At assumed PF 0.98, the demand is approximately 526 kVA. Actual equipment input ratings and simultaneous operation govern the final design.
Load management must be enforceable
A diversity factor is only defensible when supported by operations or a verified control scheme. Dynamic load management can limit total site demand, but loss of communication, fallback limits, priority rules and minimum charging performance must be tested. Avoid promising the sum of charger ratings when the incoming power is deliberately constrained.
Safety, communications and compatibility
Confirm the manufacturer's residual-current and DC leakage provisions, protective earthing, disconnection, surge protection, enclosure rating and emergency arrangements. Verify vehicle connectors and communication/backend compatibility for the intended operating model. An advertised protocol label alone does not prove end-to-end interoperability or payment integration.

Package
Electrical verification, functional tests and operator handover
Compare total installed cost, including electrical supply, civil work, chargers, protection, communications and commissioning. Ongoing software, connectivity, transaction fees and maintenance may sit outside the construction contract. Grid upgrades and network-owner charges need explicit treatment. Charging revenue or utilization is not guaranteed by equipment installation.
From your brief to acceptance
Define vehicles, energy demand, dwell time and the charging business model.
Assess the existing supply and compare managed-demand and upgrade options.
Select the charger platform and approve the electrical/civil interfaces.
Agree equipment lead times, BOQ and site works programme.
Install, configure and test the chargers and demand controls.
Demonstrate operations and deliver documentation, training and warranty contacts.
Documents you should receive
Demand assessment and staged capacity proposal
Single-line diagram and charger/parking layout
Cable/protection schedule and itemized BOQ
Charger datasheets and platform responsibility matrix
Electrical and functional commissioning records
Operator instructions, account handover and warranty allocation
The quotation identifies included documents, review cycles, approvals, acceptance criteria, exclusions and warranty obligations.
Frequently asked questions
Does installing chargers always require a new transformer?
No. Check measured peak demand, spare source and distribution capacity, charging hours and the effect of load management. Some sites can use existing capacity; others require an upgrade.
Will every vehicle charge at the station's rated power?
No. Actual power depends on the vehicle, battery state, temperature, charger configuration, shared power allocation and site limits.
Can a project combine charging with solar and storage?
Yes, after a coordinated demand and controls study. Solar generation timing and storage dispatch must match the charging profile and the permitted electrical operating arrangement.
Does the package include billing software?
Only if specified. The offer should identify the backend provider, subscriptions, payment integration, data ownership, commissioning responsibilities and support arrangements.
Technical reference framework
Relevant engineering references are selected for the contracted equipment and installation. Applicable Vietnamese requirements, local network conditions, manufacturer instructions and the agreed design basis determine project compliance; listing a standard is not a certification claim.

Request a project quotation
Send your project details, BOQ or drawings to request a formal quotation. Fields marked * are required.
Quotation scope
Applies to one EVN-supplied substation with oil-immersed transformers at 22/0.4 kV (single-phase: 12.7/0.23 kV), with MV metering VTs/CTs supplied by EVN. The estimate includes the selected equipment, installation, earthing, transformer-to-main-breaker connections, design and connection documentation, and coordination of testing and utility acceptance.
Kiosk, integrated steel-pole and indoor substations include MV switchgear and the entered underground cable route. Other outdoor arrangements use the relevant protection configuration. The final diagram must meet the project connection requirements.
Excludes VAT, cables from the substation switchboard to the MSB/loads, live-line work, harmonic reactors, weak-ground treatment or special piling, land and special fire-protection provisions. Underground routes assume normal construction conditions and exclude road drilling and special reinstatement.
Prices are indicative investment budgets. A formal quotation follows site assessment and agreement on the configuration. Electrical selections are preliminary and require design verification before installation.
Capacity range and application conditions
The catalogue defines the enquiry range of this tool, not universal TCVN capacity limits. Single pole-mounted transformers: 15–100 kVA; three-unit banks: 3×15–3×100 kVA. Platform substations: 100–630 kVA. Steel-pole substations: 100–630 kVA; 750/800 kVA require design verification and local approval. Ground-mounted, kiosk and indoor configurations: 50–10,000 kVA. Not every configuration has a package price or the same structural design.
Reference: EVN Decision 1299/QD-EVN dated 3 November 2017, Volume 1, sections 3.3–3.4. Check the current requirements of the responsible utility before implementation. Kiosks must meet manufacturer ratings and testing requirements (IEC 62271-202); indoor and ground-mounted arrangements must meet project layout, ventilation, structural and fire-protection requirements. For multiple transformers, specify the quantity and capacity of each unit.
