Medium and Low Voltage Electrical System Construction

QuangAnhcons specializes in designing and constructing underground electrical systems for low and medium voltage grids. Ensuring the highest quality, QuangAnhcons guarantees safety and optimal efficiency for industrial electrical systems. With a team of engineers and advanced technology, QuangAnhcons is the ideal choice for projects with stringent technical requirements and sustainable operations.

Designing and building a medium to low voltage electrical system requires a deep understanding of voltage components and important technical standards. Both medium and low voltage systems play essential roles in distributing electricity to consumers.

The medium voltage system operates within a voltage range of 1 kV to 35 kV, with the commonly used level being 15 kV in Vietnam. This system connects medium voltage stations to low voltage ones, ensuring efficient power transmission. Key components of this system include conductors, insulator supports, and protective devices such as circuit breakers and medium voltage Aptomats, with notable brands like Schneider and ABB.

Conversely, the low voltage system uses voltages under 1000 V, primarily at levels between 220 V and 380 V, suitable for consumer and industrial devices. Low voltage cables often use the ACB twisted insulation type to enhance safety and prevent fires.

Construction Process

  1. Survey and design medium and low voltage electrical diagrams: Determine the source points and accurately position substations to create detailed diagrams.
  2. Medium voltage line construction: Can be constructed as overhead or underground lines. Ensure strict safety standards and legal regulations regarding distance and insulation.
  3. Substation installation: Convert medium voltage to low voltage 220/380 V, using high-quality protective and measurement devices.
  4. Low voltage system construction: Wiring, device connections, electrical panels, and necessary switchgear installation.

Technical and Safety Requirements

  • Standard safety distance for medium voltage lines must be 9-12 meters above ground.
  • Use quality insulation equipment and materials from reputable brands like Mitsubishi, Cadivi to ensure system safety and durability.
  • Ensure effective grounding systems to prevent electrical hazards and ensure stable operation.

Important Considerations

  • Ensure high technical skills of personnel, especially when working with medium voltage systems.
  • Maintain close cooperation with local power authorities to ensure smooth construction and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop detailed planning and quality control throughout the construction process to avoid unwanted risks.

Medium and low voltage electrical system construction includes not only installation but also surveying, designing, installing substations, and comprehensive low voltage distribution. Protective solutions, planning, and regular collaboration with related parties are necessary to ensure optimal safety and efficiency.

Substation and Quick Charge Station Construction

QuangAnhcons constructs substations up to 35kV, ensuring the development of medium to low voltage electrical grids. Additionally, QuangAnhcons offers comprehensive solutions for quick charge electric vehicle stations, contributing to sustainable green transportation trends. Utilizing advanced technology, QuangAnhcons optimizes the operational capacity of these systems to meet the growing demands of industrial zones.

Substation construction is a complex process involving multiple steps and requires high expertise to ensure the stability and safety of the electrical system. The process starts with actual surveys to determine substation and underground medium voltage cable routes. The involvement of experienced technicians is essential to optimize installation positions. If there are changes from the original design, discussion and consensus with investors and related parties are mandatory.

Subsequently, site preparation will be carried out, including organizing the premises, preparing electricity, water, and all necessary materials such as transformers, circuit breakers, cables, and concrete foundations.

Foundation excavation and grounding system installation are crucial steps to ensure lightning safety and compliance with electrical standards. Then, the substation concrete foundation is poured to ensure it can support the entire system, usually designed according to specific capacities such as the 1600KVA station.

The following steps include installing and connecting equipment, including circuit breakers, operating seats, crossarms, and transformers. Promoting labor safety is a mandatory requirement throughout the construction process. Testing, adjustment, and acceptance steps will be carried out before starting the station trial run and handover.

For quick charge stations, construction often closely relates to utilizing or building new substations to meet the power requirements of charging devices. Fast charging equipment systems such as chargers, cables, and control systems will be installed, along with inspection and acceptance processes, ensuring the station operates safely and efficiently.

Although detailed documents on quick charge station construction processes are not widely available, combining substation construction with its specific design for fast electronic charging systems remains an important factor in deploying electric vehicle charging technology.
